Plug in ground design - no tools required UL components Max rating - 300W/3.0 Amps - 125 VAC - 50/60 Hz On-Off switch, high to low variable No internal wiring Helps reduce fan or blower noise One year warranty Some fans that are considered "brushless motors" or "magnetic motors" are Permanent Split-Phase Capacitor motors and require a solid state motor control of the Triac variety. (Vortex, CanFan, Fantech, Blauberg are some) A Triac type controller sends out specific wavelengths of current to prevent the current from rising and possibly damaging the motor windings.
