It increases water holding capacity and nutrient retention, expanding to 5 times it's condensed size (1 expands to about 2.47 cubic feet). CocoTek® can be mixed with any other growing media. CocoTek® Fine Coir Bales (Blocks) are an environmentally-friendly renewable resource that will break down in about three years.
